As put by iCEO, Steve Jobs, iPhone's going to rock the world as did iMac and iPod way back in the year 1997 and 2001 respectively. The iCEO is aiming a 10 million sales figure within 6 months. The wonder gadget packs an iPod, a navigator and a mobile phone in one. Jobs blurted out the long kept secret at Macworld, SFO this January.
Practically speaking, iPhone will be the mobile device of the century! And most importantly it runs on a real operating system - Mac OS X (Codenamed Tiger). So, iPhone is all set to make history this June. Some of the incredible characteristics of iPhone include:

- Bulit-in Sensors: The iPhone incorporates an accelerometer, which detects when a user switches from holding the phone in landscape to portrait mode, and automatically updates the image on screen to fit the mode. The sensors also detect when you put the iPhone near your phone, and automatically shuts off the display screen until you move it away to save on battery power. An ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the screen's brightness to the appropriate level for the current ambient light, which enhances user experience and also saves on battery power.
