The great Indian blunder!

Mr. M. Karunanidhi (CM, Tamilnadu) recently dismissed the existence of Lord Rama as a myth and even went ahead to challenge the God’s credentials mouthing that He was no engineer to have built the Ramar Setu. This has hurt almost every ardent follower of Hinduism. The Tamils are having a hard time coming in terms with what their most loved and admired leader has given tongue to. Meanwhile, Sonia Gandhi is being criticized all over India for being anti-Hindu. The sword has befallen her only because she is associated with a government which has submitted an affidavit claiming that the existence of Lord Rama is pure myth.

Lord Rama may definitely be pure myth and may not be proved by science; but religion and faith do not require complex scientific formulae to build their base on. And moreover, such immoral lashings at one of the major world religion shows that government officials do not consider the implications of such verbal attacks on the secular democracy that is India.

We should not forget that such mindless statements by the government may enrage the masses thereby inflicting strain on the life and well-being of an Indian common man, i.e. ME.
