What a masterpiece Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Abhimaan is! Human emotions are captured beautifully on celluloid by this ingenious director. I enjoyed every second of this movie; specially the emotional reunion of the couple towards the climax.
Abhimaan is the story of a marriage torn apart because of husband's jealousy towards his wife's success. Amitabh and Jaya Bachan play the warring couple.
After 33 years, Abhishek Bachan, the son of Amitabh and Jaya Bachan, and Aishwarya Rai have announced their marriage and I fear that the plot of Abhimaan may repeat itself in the couple's real life. Aishwarya Rai has many more successes under her belt than her would-be hubby.
Will Abhimaan repeat itself in the real life of this young couple? Only time will tell.
